Meet Julianna Lai ’24!
Julianna writes and reports stories about sustainable food systems, labor justice, and responsible consumption for YSFP's "Chewing the Fat" podcast. During a gap semester in Burma, Julianna spent some time learning about community food waste management at a bokashi composting farm in Yangon, which sparked an interest in circular economies and regenerative ag. A native Angeleno, she is proudly Taiwanese American and an alleged street-foodie and fruit historian. As in so many immigrant families, food has given her a love language to connect with family across the Pacific--and, now, with Yalies across campus.
