Our Programs During COVID-19
Thank you for your patience and understanding as our programming evolves with changing public health circumstances.
In fall of 2021, we welcomed Yale students back to the Yale Farm for in-person programming, including Friday and Sunday workdays on the Farm, knead 2 know events, and other workshops and event collaborations with partners including the Native American Cultural Center, Yale School of the Environment, Slifka Center, and more.
Since spring of 2022, our open workdays and knead 2 know events have once again been open to the public. We invite you to join us on Fridays and Sundays on the Farm.
In accordance with Yale University’s policies, COVID-19 vaccination (including booster, if eligible) is required for visitors aged five and older. You may be asked to present proof of vaccination. Updates on Yale’s policies regarding COVID-19 can be found here.
Yale Farm Workdays: At the onset of the pandemic, we shifted from selling our produce at the CitySeed Wooster Square farmers market to engaging with mutual aid efforts in our city. Work on the Yale Farm has since focused on harvesting and packing produce for Common Ground’s Mobile Market, Loaves and Fishes, and FridgeHaven.
Knead 2 Know: knead 2 know is the Yale Sustainable Food Program’s weekly Friday presentation series, where a student or friend of the YSFP shares about their food systems research or work. In the fall and spring, these events take place on the Farm. In the winter, we move indoors to the Office of LGBTQ Resources Cafe, located at 135 Prospect St.
Course Visits: Faculty are welcome to inquire about class visits to the Yale Farm, as schedules and appropriate safety protocols allow. Please email jeremy.oldfield@yale.edu for more information.
We’re active collaborators online, too! We invite you to subscribe to our newsletter.
