What were some of important insights you were able to take away from academic discussions?
Problems like food insecurity, sustainability, environmental justice, etc. all require larger systematic political change than I often anticipated.

What was most personally valuable to you about the internship?
I feel like I am now even more interested in America's food systems and principles of sustainability than I was before. I feel like I have been energized to keep on learning about and understanding this complex web of problems that affect the agricultural industry.
