A little bit more about Sasha:
Sasha initially began as a Podcast Manager last spring for the YSFP’s podcast, Chewing the Fat. She loved creating music for episodes while listening to her coworkers’ wonderful storytelling and their interviews with incredible guests. She has always loved cooking and learning about food, but since joining the YSFP, her curiosity and appreciation has grown so much! Because of the pandemic, her role this semester has transitioned into harvesting at the farm and participating in dye workshops. She has a lot of fond memories at her grandparents’ gardens and farms in Russia and Bulgaria, and walking onto the farm reminds her of family and home. This has been especially emotional during the pandemic, because she feels even more distant from family than usual. Coupled with wonderful people who make a farm shift go by in an instant, working for the YSFP has been one of her most cherished experiences at Yale.
