A little bit about Hamzah:
Having joined the farm the spring semester of his first year, Hamzah has enjoyed his role as a communications manager for the YSFP because it allows him to shape, broadcast, and understand much of the programming on and around the farm. He specifically appreciates how communications managers are able to see the broader workings of the farm and understand the progress the program has been making. As an Anthropology major in the energy studies program, Hamzah is passionate about the sociocultural effects of climate change, one of those being the way food industries are seeing drastic changes that have and will continue to affect communities across the world. His work at the farm informs his academic career as he continues to center energy and the environment in and beyond his coursework.
