What were some of important insights you were able to take away from academic discussions?
I enjoyed the section on sustainability and unpacking what terms like "sustainability," "organic," and "fast-food" mean, look like, and connote. I think there are a lot of buzzwords when it comes to talking about food, and I appreciated the readings that dealt with demystifying them.
What was most personally valuable to you about your fellowship?
The inclusivity amongst the interns was super important to me since I was coming from Stanford and my usual support system back home was no longer with me. I appreciated the effort of integration on that front.
