Much as Yale students would like to stay at Yale forever, eventually they graduate. The Sustainable Food Program prepares them for that transition, both by connecting classroom theory to practical skill as well as by introducing them the institutions and organizations doing some of the most exciting work in the field.
Global and local internships shape students’ minds as well as their career trajectories, exposing them to a variety of working environments and possible paths. Partnerships with New Haven organizations enhance the community and develop homegrown leaders with a deep knowledge of the local food scene. Further afield, the research and discovery being done at Yale can be disseminated through global collaborations with international reach.
